Danfoss Opens New Plant in Poland for Heating and Cooling Solutions

Danfoss has opened a new 22,500 m² (242,188 sq ft) manufacturing facility in Tuchom, Poland, to expand production capacity for energy-efficient heating and cooling solutions. Operated by HydronicS, a division of Danfoss Climate Solutions, the plant will serve growing demand from the district energy and data center markets. The facility was officially inaugurated on October 8, 2026.

The plant integrates advanced metal processing, assembly, and testing operations, with an annual production capacity of approximately 8,000 heavy-duty stations. These prebuilt interface units control, measure, and transfer thermal energy for heating and cooling in buildings. Production capacity could potentially double at the new facility.

The site currently employs 250 people and can accommodate up to 500 employees. It includes more than 19,000 m² (204,514 sq ft) of production, warehouse, and technical space, alongside nearly 3,500 m² (37,674 sq ft) of office and social areas. The facility will also function as a Center of Excellence for data center solutions and a showroom for OEM customers.

Heating and cooling at the plant are supplied by a cascade of heat pumps incorporating Danfoss inverter-driven compressors. The facility also uses Danfoss heat exchangers, balancing valves, frequency converters, and thermostats. An interactive Decarbonization Path demonstrates energy efficiency, excess-heat utilization, and renewable energy solutions implemented at the factory.

The opening coincides with Danfoss’s 35th anniversary in Poland and builds on 15 years of operations in Tuchom. The investment supports the company’s LEAP 2030 strategy, with a focus on increased production flexibility, shorter lead times, and customized manufacturing capabilities.

“The new factory in Tuchom strengthens our ability to support customers, capitalize on growth opportunities, and drive innovation in key strategic markets. It is an important milestone for our business, our people and our continued growth in Poland,” said Edyta Szauła, Director, Supply Chain, Tuchom.
