Glen Dimplex has this afternoon announced a change of direction to focus solely on hot water boilers in its foodservice business.
Following an internal business review, GDPA said it had taken the decision to concentrate its sales and marketing within the hospitality and foodservice market solely on Burco hot water boilers.
This will result in a phased withdrawal of the LEC commercial refrigeration brand in addition to all Burco Cooking products from the sector over the coming months.
GDPA has launched a raft of cooking and refrigeration products over the past year, but Mike Butt, managing director of the business, said there was a clear rationale for streamlining the portfolio.
GDPA said the announcement will have no effect on the LEC Medical or Glen Dimplex Home Appliances elements of its business as it refers purely to the foodservice and hospitality sector.
