Beijer Ref completes two new acquisitions in Australia

Beijer Ref has signed two new agreements to acquire all the assets in GMR Supplies, a refrigeration wholesaler based in Perth, Western Australia, and Mackay Air Supply, an HVAC&R wholesaler based in Mackay, Queensland. GMR Supplies and Mackay Air Supply have a combined annual turnover that amounts to approximately SEK 50 million.

GMR Supplies is a distributor of high-quality refrigeration products and provides HVAC&R spare parts to metropolitan and country clients throughout Western Australia. Mackay Air Supply, which is also a distributor of HVAC&R, offers brands that are more targeted towards air conditioning products. These two acquisitions further strengthen Beijer Ref Australia’s operation and will add two new branches and seven employees to its current organisation.

Both companies will be integrated into Beijer Ref’s Australian branch network. The acquisitions will have a minor impact on the Beijer Ref Group’s result and position.

Christopher Norbye, CEO Beijer Ref, comments:

"Australia continues to be an important market for us and we are constantly looking for new ways to broaden our geographical breadth and create new synergies. With GMR Supplies and Mackay Air Supply, Beijer Ref acquires two fast-growing companies that add both value and complementary products to Beijer Ref’s existing product portfolio, which aligns with our long-term acquisition strategy."
