Carrier China Water-Cooled Chillers Help Alibaba to Propel China’s Digital Economy

Carrier China recently entered into an agreement to provide one of the biggest online commerce companies, Alibaba Group, with water-cooled chillers for its data centers across China.Carrier chillers will support the e-commerce leader by creating an optimal indoor environment for the stable operation of a robust back-end server network.Carrier China is a part of Carrier, a leading global provider of innovative heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC), refrigeration, fire, security and building automation technologies.

To ensure system stability, data centers have rigorous requirements for the indoor temperature, humidity, air distribution and cleanness.Alibaba chose Carrier China for its advanced water-cooled chillers, rich experience in serving data center customers, as well as world-class local production capability.Featuring optimized operational reliability and energy efficiency, Carrier variable frequency centrifugal liquid chillers will be used to safeguard the smooth running of Alibaba’s data centers even under the most demanding circumstances.
