Climaveneta units installed in GREENSQUARE

Mitsubishi Electric Hydronics & IT Cooling Systems, though its brand Climaveneta, has supplied the HVAC units for GREENSQUARE.

Designed by the Archimagine architectural firm, GREENSQUARE is located in the Hamm district of Luxembourg and provides 17,250 m² of office space to different companies spread across 6 buildings. The complex also offers a 7,500 m² parking lot and a conference room. The new-build complex was designed with sustainability and flexibility in mind. It was important to design the buildings so they could be easily adaptable to future tenant changes. Therefore, particular care was given to the mechanical and electrical systems of the buildings during planning, to ensure easy access and high efficiency.

The M&E consultant chose to install an HVAC system based on Climaveneta branded units. Specifically, one water cooled chiller, FOCS2-W HFO/CA/S 2401 with screw compressors, and one water cooled chiller, TECS2-W HFO/HC 0712 with oil-free centrifugal compressors, for a total cooling capacity of 1016 kW. The chillers use an HFO refrigerant, R1234ze, which ensures GWP levels near 0 (compared to GWP values of 1430 for R134a gas) and no toxicity, while continuing to guarantee high energy performance levels. The chillers are connected to open cooling tower, specially designed in polyester with very low noise emissions to meet the critical environmental requirements in this Eco-Friendly park.
