Daikin Applied Strengthens Leadership with New Executive Appointments

Daikin Applied, a prominent manufacturer of commercial and industrial HVAC equipment, has expanded its leadership team with two strategic appointments. Jeff Shusta joins as Vice President of Corporate Development, while Ashish Srivastava takes on the role of Vice President of Digital and Information Technology. These appointments align with Daikin's mission to modernize and decarbonize buildings.

"Jeff and Ashish enhance our talent pool, from executives to service technicians," said Yu Nishiwaki, COO for Daikin Applied Americas. "Their expertise will help us innovate and provide superior customer experiences, especially as companies aim to improve comfort and air quality while reducing carbon emissions."

Shusta, with over 20 years in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), joins Daikin to lead its growth strategy through M&A and strategic partnerships. "Daikin's success is remarkable, and I'm excited to help sustain and accelerate this growth trajectory," said Shusta. His previous roles at 3M, Merrill Lynch, and other firms reflected his proficiency in business strategy and M&A, having contributed to over 100 transactions across various sectors.

Srivastava brings 22 years of experience in digital transformation and IT. In his new role, he will spearhead Daikin's digital and technology strategy. "Digital technologies are essential for creating occupant-friendly spaces and optimizing operations," said Srivastava. His prior experience includes leading digital transformations at a global healthcare technology company and consulting on large-scale projects.

These appointments signal Daikin's ongoing commitment to innovation and sustainable growth, enhancing its ability to meet diverse customer needs across sectors.
