Daikin's Tewis Factory Relocates After Valencia Floods

Daikin has announced the relocation of its Tewis factory for commercial refrigeration to Náquera following severe floods in Valencia. The floods, which occurred in late October 2024, significantly damaged Tewis' production facilities, prompting the move to ensure continued operations. Tewis' offices will remain at their current location in Paterna, Valencia, 13 km from the new production site.

Tewis, a Daikin Group member known for CO2 refrigeration systems, swiftly responded to the damage by evaluating the situation in November and implementing measures to maintain service levels. The transition to the new premises begins the week of December 10th. During this period, Tewis plans to fulfill market demands through temporary facilities and support from other Daikin Group members.

Dries Laheye, Managing Director of Tewis, expressed gratitude for the swift response from Daikin, highlighting the company's commitment to its customers and employees. The relocation emphasizes Daikin's dedication to supporting Tewis and maintaining its operational capabilities.
