Epta receives the Smart Label once again

Epta receives the Smart Label once again, a prize presented by Host Fiera Milano and POLI.design to the most innovative products and companies of the Ho.Re.Ca and Retail sector present at the event, scheduled from 18 to 22 October at Rho Fiera Milan.

An international jury of experts assessed more than 210 applications. As indicated by the Deputy Manager of the Design Intelligence Award committee office Fayun Zhu, the trend to a convergence between Internet and manufacturing industry has emerged. Against the backdrop of the new Industrial Revolution, concentrating on the hospitality segment, characterised by a fusion of technologies, is showing enormous potential.

Glee of the Iarp Cool Emotions family was among the solutions to receive an award: a vertical negative temperature cabinet for frozen products and packaged ice cream, which merges technical performance and cutting-edge design, enriched by IoT (Internet of Things) functionality, to monitor the counter remotely. IoT technology is based on parameter analysis of the plug-in, to gather information on the temperature, geolocalise the counter and manage the alarms. It provides tailor-made reports and interesting data on the sales performance of the counter. Finally, to guarantee maximum reliability and sustainability, Glee is powered by a natural refrigerant R290, avails of an energy saving controller and a system that assures predictive diagnostics and timely maintenance, in favour of the highest energy and operating efficiency. Due to its elevated innovation content, this special version of Glee has been recognised by Host Fiera Milano and POLI.design as a product able to determine a significant development in the refrigeration sector.
