Hoshizaki Compact Freezer Wins Good Design Award 2023

Hoshizaki Co., Ltd., a complete food service equipment manufacturer, announced that it has won an award for its compact freezer (quick chiller) at Good Design 2023. The HRC-2A was awarded the "Good Design Best 100" award. Hoshizaki has received the Good Design Award a total of 12 times (in a fiscal year) for 18 products, four years in a row starting in 2020, and this is the first time the company has won the Good Design Best 100 Award.

Compact freezer designed for small restaurants and small kitchens. It quickly cools cooked food with cold air down to -15℃, ensuring safe and effective food hygiene management.

This product is intended to be installed in small kitchens, which has not been the goal until now, and is compact and unnecessary. The latest technology is incorporated into a unique design.

It has been designed to accommodate a variety of applications including single phase 100V operation and overall size for use with the same brand of steam convection.
The design, which serves as both an air intake and a door handle, is an outstanding idea that deserves special mention.
