Sanhua and Midea Sign Strategic Cooperation Agreement for Global Expansion

Sanhua Intelligent Controls and Midea Group have entered a new phase of collaboration with the signing of a strategic cooperation agreement at Midea’s Global Innovation Center in Shunde, Guangdong. The partnership will focus on refrigeration control component innovation, B2B procurement, and coordinated overseas expansion, as both companies aim to navigate global market challenges and accelerate industrial commercialization.

Partnership Scope and Objectives

The agreement strengthens a nearly 30-year relationship between Sanhua and Midea, elevating it to a comprehensive strategic partnership. Areas of cooperation include joint R&D in product and technology, integration of supply chains, and global resource sharing. The move is part of both companies' efforts to bolster resilience and drive sustainable growth amid evolving market dynamics.

Midea Group, founded in 1968, operates across smart home technologies, green energy, healthcare, and industrial automation. Sanhua, with a longstanding focus on low-carbon, intelligent solutions, supplies a wide range of refrigeration control components globally and is a long-time supplier to Midea.

Executive Insights

At the signing ceremony, Li Guolin, Vice President and Chief Sustainability Officer of Midea Group, noted: “Sanhua Intelligent Controls is a benchmark enterprise in the field of refrigeration control components. We have collaborated extensively in lean manufacturing, co-innovation, and quality initiatives. This agreement deepens a strong foundation for strategic growth.”

Zhang Yabo, Vice Chairman of Sanhua Holding Group and CEO of Zhejiang Sanhua Intelligent Controls Co., Ltd., emphasized: “Sanhua remains committed to the business strategy of ‘Focus on Leadership & Lead by Innovation.’ This partnership will drive joint breakthroughs, overseas cooperation, and green development across the industry.”

The ceremony was attended by senior executives from both companies, including Sanhua President Wang Dayong and Midea’s supply chain leaders from its air-conditioning, kitchen, and building technology divisions. Following the event, Sanhua representatives toured Midea’s smart manufacturing facilities to explore best practices in advanced production.
