Midas Transport has added a Schmitz Cargobull multi-temperature reefer to its 25-vehicle fleet, largely made up of Schmitz Cargobull trailers. The new trailer will deliver plants to Wyevale garden centres and high street chain Wilko, and potatoes and vegetables to supermarkets and wholesalers. The Midas Transport trailer has Schmitz Cargobull’s own refrigeration unit and a Piek-certified low-noise floor to allow late night or early morning deliveries. Midas is also using Schmitz Cargobull’s TrailerConnect temperature and mapping telematics system, which monitors and records data in real time.
