Midea Residential Air Conditioner Division (Midea RAC) partnered with the Nigerian Association of Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Practitioners (NARAP) at NARAP Day 2026 in Abia State, Nigeria, held July 23–24. The event formed part of Midea RAC’s nationwide technical training initiative, launched in May 2026.
Organized by NARAP, the event brought together refrigeration and air-conditioning professionals for technical exchanges and capacity-building activities. Midea RAC said its training initiative covers HVAC technologies, standardized installation practices and after-sales service.
Participants attended dedicated sessions covering Midea’s latest product innovations and technical developments. The collaboration uses NARAP’s network of state branches to extend technical training to more regions and provide installation engineers with information on new products, emerging technologies and standardized installation procedures.
Midea RAC also provides professional development through Midea Club, a program for installation engineers. The platform allows installers to manage installation workflows, access technical guidance and earn rewards for eligible Midea air conditioner installations, while making installation processes more visible and traceable.
“For every training that we do, we try as much as possible not to do the same thing over and over again. As a brand, we invest heavily in R&D, which means we are constantly introducing innovations and technologies that keep us ahead of the market,” said Emeka Paschal Okpe, Channel Manager of Midea RAC.
Midea RAC said it has served the Nigerian market for nearly two decades and plans to continue working with NARAP and other industry partners on technical training and professional development.
