AIRAH Awards 2022 aim to inspire industry

Nominations are open for the leading accolades of the HVAC&R building services industry: the AIRAH Awards 2022. Across 13 categories, the awards celebrate the projects, people and products that have raised the bar for the built environment.

AIRAH Chief Executive Tony Gleeson, M.AIRAH, says the awards play a vital role in reminding us that we can make a difference.

“In a time when the world is facing existential challenges, I feel very proud to work in an industry that is taking action,” says Gleeson.

“All around us we see amazing buildings, research projects, product development, and the efforts of individuals who are helping to improve the sustainability of the built environment. By celebrating and promoting this work through the AIRAH Awards, we want to add to the positive momentum, and inspire everyone.”

To open the awards to the widest range of nominees, AIRAH has set up a portal for those who would like to express an interest in nominating. It takes less than five minutes to register through the portal. On receiving an expression of interest, the AIRAH team will be in touch to discuss eligibility and to assist with nominations.

Expressions of interest close on Thursday, April 14. The deadline for full nomination submissions is Friday, May 20. Please note that nominations for the AIRAH Awards 2022 may be submitted without an expression of interest.

Finalists will be selected in October, and the winners will be announced at a black-tie gala ceremony in Sydney on November 24. AIRAH will also promote the achievements of the finalists and winners through its publications, websites, newsletters and social media.

“I believe we do amazing things in HVAC&R building services,” says Gleeson, “and AIRAH is committed to shining a light on them.

“If you are one of the many people in our industry who feels the same way, I encourage you to nominate for the AIRAH Awards 2022.”
