The National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Association (NFRA) has announced the winners of its 2026 March Frozen Food Month Golden Penguin Awards in the US. The awards recognize marketing programs designed to increase consumer awareness, support frozen food category growth and promote frozen foods to shoppers nationwide.
NFRA announced 28 Gold Awards and 25 Silver Awards across multiple categories. Award categories include In-Store Display, In-Store Event, Community Involvement, Social Media Campaign, Retail Dietitian Wellness Program, Private Brand Campaign and Overall Marketing Campaign.
According to NFRA, this year’s winning programs included in-store merchandising, community outreach, digital engagement and integrated marketing campaigns. The programs also featured omnichannel shopper engagement, social media, health and wellness messaging, and retailer-manufacturer partnerships.
Gold Award recipients will be recognized at the Golden Penguin Awards Luncheon on October 20 during the 2026 NFRA Convention in Maryland. NFRA will also announce its Top Marketer Awards, which are reserved for the highest-scoring entries in the Overall Marketing Campaign categories.
“As consumer preferences continue to evolve, frozen foods remain a relevant solution for households seeking flexibility, variety and value,” said Tricia Greyshock, President and CEO of NFRA. “The programs recognized through this year’s Golden Penguin Awards reflect the passion, creativity, and commitment our members bring to help consumers discover frozen food solutions that simplify mealtime and deliver meaningful value every day.”
