World Refrigeration Day launches year-round WRD365 Community

World Refrigeration Day has introduced the WRD365 Community to extend collaboration beyond the annual event held on 26 June. The initiative brings together organisations involved in refrigeration, cooling, air conditioning, heat pumps, sustainable heating and related fields.

The community builds on the 2026 campaign theme, “Cool Intelligence,” which highlighted the knowledge, skills, experience, innovation and human judgement involved in designing, operating and supporting cooling and heating systems.

WRD365 will provide year-round opportunities for participating organisations to share stories, contribute knowledge, support campaigns, promote skills and careers, encourage outreach and improve communication with audiences outside the sector.

“During the months ahead, we will continue meeting the people behind Cool Intelligence. Some will be at the beginning of their careers. Others will have decades of knowledge and experience to share. Some will be developing new technologies. Others will be applying existing knowledge intelligently, solving problems, training others, mentoring colleagues or passing their experience to the next generation,” said Stephen Gill.

The organisation also plans to continue sharing stories and campaign updates through its newsletter as the WRD365 Community develops.
