Carrier and JMI Collaborate for HVAC Skill Centre

Carrier India has partnered with Jamia Millia Islamia’s University Polytechnic to launch a “Centre of Excellence for Professional Skill Development” in HVAC. This collaboration, supported by United Way of India, aims to equip students with essential skills for the HVAC industry, reflecting Carrier India’s commitment to education and workforce empowerment.

The partnership was formalized at JMI’s Vice Chancellor’s office. Sundaresan Narayanan, Managing Director of Carrier India, highlighted the initiative as part of Carrier’s corporate social responsibility. “At Carrier, we believe in innovation and knowledge sharing,” he said. The Centre will provide students with necessary resources to thrive in the evolving HVAC sector.

Prof. Mazhar Asif, JMI’s Vice Chancellor, stated that the initiative will enhance student employability by offering practical skills crucial for the competitive job market. Dr. Sujeet Ranjan, CEO of United Way of India, emphasized the importance of strategic collaborations in fostering a skilled workforce, expressing confidence in the Centre’s impact on skill development.
