REFRIGERATION MARKET IN RUSSIA
At the end of 2020, total imports of refrigeration equipment as a whole grew by 0.5%, but imports of refrigeration compressors decreased by 7.5%.

At the end of 2020, imports of refrigeration equipment to Russia amounted to 1.19 billion US dollars, which is 0.5% higher compared to the previous period. At the same time, this is a quarter less than peak deliveries in 2011-2013.

One of the key and reliable indicators of the country's refrigeration market is the import of refrigeration compressors, since there is practically no production of compressors used in domestic, commercial and industrial cold. The exception is the single releases of compressors for the heavy, chemical and defense industries.

Imports of compressors used in refrigeration equipment (HS code 841430) in 2020 decreased by 7.5% compared to the previous period and amounted to 306.7 million US dollars.

Half of the volume of refrigeration equipment is 53.2% imported from only 3 countries: China, Belarus, Germany. At the same time, 39% of imports are equipment deliveries from EU countries.

The leaders in the supply of refrigeration compressors are still 4 countries: China, Germany, South Korea and Slovakia. These countries account for 63% of imports.

EXPORT OF REFRIGERATION EQUIPMENT FROM RUSSIA FOR 2020
At the end of 2020, the export of refrigeration equipment from Russia amounted to 380 million US dollars, which is 8% more compared to the previous period.

As in previous years, 70% of all exports were shipments to Kazakhstan, Belarus and Ukraine.
