European Heat Pump Summit 2017

On 24 and 25 October 2017, heat pump experts from around the world will gather for the fifth European Heat Pump Summit – powered by Chillventa at Exhibition Centre Nuremberg. Their goal is to share their expertise on market developments, technology and application trends relating to all aspects of heat pumps. The accompanying Foyer Expo is a welcome addition to the European Heat Pump Summit and provides a platform for participating companies to showcase their latest products and innovations.

The four main thematic blocks at the European Heat Pump Summit 2017 are market developments, R&D, development of components and products, and heat pump applications. Preparations are already under way and international heat pump experts have submitted a large number of abstracts e.g. on the following topics:
  • Global market developments and their significance for a sustainable future
  • Research and development into hybrid systems, "fuel-driven" heat pumps, developments towards net zero energy buildings, smart grids, apartment blocks, solar-driven absorption heat pumps
  • Development of compressors, heat exchangers, refrigerants, fans, pumps and controls
  • Using heat pumps for waste heat recovery from industrial cooling units
The internationally renowned speakers come from R&D establishments, universities, test centres and laboratories, energy utilities and associations, and in particular from component manufacturers. They will address an expert international audience of technicians, researchers, designers, product developers, purchasing decision-makers and consulting engineers for product development from all areas of heat pump production and applications.

Foyer Expo: product information and professional dialogue

At the Foyer Expo, the focus will be on the latest products and innovations from the exhibiting companies. “Already, six months before the start of the European Heat Pump Summit, we are delighted to have received confirmations from numerous exhibitors and sponsors. We are very happy about this positive response,” explains Daniela Heinkel.

The European Heat Pump Summit is designed for professionals from science and manufacturing, planners, energy consultants and operators of municipal, commercial and industrial properties. The combination of high-calibre conference programme and Foyer-Expo, and the two-yearly Chillventa trade fair, which also comprehensively covers the topic of heat pumps, are what make Nuremberg “Heat Pump City.”
