Mega Clima Ghana Expo 2026 to Highlight HVAC+R Growth in West Africa

Elan Expo has announced that the next edition of the Mega Clima Ghana HVAC+R Expo will take place from March 3–5, 2026, at the Accra International Conference Centre in Ghana. Positioned as West Africa’s leading trade exhibition for Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVAC+R), the event aims to connect global suppliers with a growing regional market driven by infrastructure projects and sustainability goals.

Ghana’s HVAC+R market is expanding in response to rising temperatures, urban development, and the demand for energy-efficient systems. Key infrastructure projects such as the Marine Drive redevelopment, the Ghana International Trade Fair Center transformation, and the $250 million Appolonia City development are fueling demand for advanced HVAC+R technologies. Additionally, healthcare upgrades and plans to add 23,000 residential units in Accra are contributing to long-term market growth.

Sustainability is a core focus of the sector. The Ghana Green Cooling Programme (GGCP) supports the deployment of 150,000 climate-friendly air conditioning units and technician training. The recent opening of a $1.9 million AC and refrigeration test laboratory in Accra highlights the country’s commitment to energy efficiency and regulatory standards. According to projections, Ghana’s HVAC market is expected to reach $258.3 million by 2029.

The event will be co-located with the West Africa Water Expo (WAWE), offering cross-sector engagement between HVAC+R and water management industries. Organizers anticipate strong interest from manufacturers and service providers in ventilation, air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration systems.

Previous Mega Clima editions across Africa have hosted more than 850 brands from over 90 countries and attracted over 37,000 professional visitors. Companies such as LG, Carrier, Samsung, Daikin, Bosch, and York have participated in past editions, reflecting the event’s reach.

The organizers position the 2026 Ghana edition as a platform for direct market access, networking, and brand visibility in one of Africa’s fastest-growing HVAC+R regions.
