Wieland Group announced a $15 million investment in a second production facility in Delaware, Ohio, adding 100 jobs and 100,000 square feet of manufacturing capacity for heat exchangers used in data center cooling systems. Production will continue at the company’s existing Delaware site while the new facility expands output for the data center market.
The new plant will manufacture heat exchangers that remove heat from cooling systems used to maintain data center operating conditions. Wieland’s heat exchanger technology is intended to provide greater cooling capacity while reducing the amount of material and refrigerant required.
The 100 new positions will represent more than $6.7 million in annual payroll. Wieland’s existing Delaware operation currently employs 41 people with an annual payroll of $2.1 million, bringing a substantial increase in the local manufacturing workforce once the additional facility is operational.
The Delaware business became part of Wieland through its 2024 acquisition of Onda S.p.A. The operation serves data center, commercial building and industrial markets and draws on more than 30 years of heat transfer experience. Wieland operates more than 80 locations worldwide, including 44 in North America, with activities spanning refrigeration, electronics, automotive, construction and other industrial sectors.
Wieland’s current Delaware facility is located at 600 London Road, while the second production site will operate from 115 Innovation Court. The expansion increases the company’s North American manufacturing capacity for data center cooling equipment and adds domestic production of heat exchangers for digital infrastructure applications.
