The Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) hosted AHRI Talks MENA: Shaping the Future of the HVACR Industry on July 7 in Dubai, UAE. More than 200 attendees discussed performance standards, testing laboratories, and programs intended to support the HVACR industry in the Middle East and North Africa.
During the event, AHRI announced approval of the next phase of several member-driven standards initiatives led by its Regional Standards Technical Committee. The association said the initiatives address the region’s evolving technical and regulatory needs.
Burhan Jaber, Vice President of Engineering and R&D at SKM Air Conditioning, delivered the keynote address. He called for industry resilience and collaboration on sustainability while encouraging the establishment of realistic goals.
AHRI MENA Managing Director Nabil Shahin thanked supporting partners UNEP OzonAction, the Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers, and the ASHRAE Falcon Chapter, as well as the Royal Scientific Society, GCC Lab, DMG, and participating organizations.
