Canada Cartage to Acquire Coastal Pacific Xpress

Canada Cartage to Acquire Coastal Pacific Xpress

Canada Cartage, a leading transportation and logistics provider in North America, has agreed to acquire Coastal Pacific Xpress (CPX), a prominent temperature-sensitive carrier based in Surrey, British Columbia. Established in 1986, CPX is known for its refrigerated transportation solutions, offering full truckload and less-than-truckload services, cold storage, and freight brokerage.

CPX serves the grocery and food sectors, aligning well with Canada Cartage's operations in B.C., Alberta, and the coastal states of the U.S. The acquisition complements Canada Cartage's expertise in Eastern Canada, providing a nationwide solution for temperature-sensitive transport needs.

The deal is expected to finalize in December 2024, pending customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals.
