Carrier Launches Lynx FacTOR to Automate Pharmaceutical Product Release Evaluations

Carrier Global Corporation has introduced Lynx FacTOR, a software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution designed to automate product release evaluations in the pharmaceutical cold chain. The system minimizes manual processes, accelerates batch release cycles, and ensures compliance with regulatory standards.

Pharmaceutical companies often face challenges related to manual assessments, compliance requirements, and delays in evaluating temperature excursions during transportation. These inefficiencies can lead to high operational costs and slow product releases. Lynx FacTOR addresses these issues by automating end-to-end evaluations, reducing assessment times from multiple days to just minutes.

Streamlining Cold Chain Evaluations

Lynx FacTOR consolidates data from various sources into a single source of truth, allowing pharmaceutical companies to quickly assess product viability at the batch level. The solution uses automated calculations and rule-based protocols to standardize assessments, minimizing human error and improving regulatory compliance.

Alice DeBiasio, Vice President & General Manager, Truck Trailer Americas and Digital Solutions, Carrier, emphasized the impact of the solution:

“Lynx FacTOR represents a major leap forward in pharmaceutical supply chain management. By automating the assessment process, we are not only speeding up product releases but also enhancing accuracy and compliance, ultimately enhancing patient safety.”

Key Benefits

With Lynx FacTOR, pharmaceutical companies can:

  • Automate stability assessments using predefined protocols, reducing human intervention and ensuring compliance.
  • Evaluate product viability in real-time by integrating data from multiple sources, enabling faster and more informed decision-making.
  • Accelerate product release processes to enhance operational efficiency and reduce lead times.

Bhasker Kaushal, Vice President & General Manager, Sensitech & Aftermarket and Vice President, Strategy and Business Development, Carrier, highlighted the industry impact:

“Lynx FacTOR is a game-changer for the life sciences and pharma industry. By enabling end-to-end supply chain visibility, digitizing workflows and automating complex analyses, we are reducing the time and effort required to ensure product quality and compliance.”

Availability and Industry Debut

Lynx FacTOR is part of Carrier’s Lynx ecosystem, which provides connected and intelligent supply chain solutions. The solution is now available as a subscription through Sensitech, a Carrier company, and will be showcased at LogiPharma 2025 in Lyon, France, from April 8-10 at booths 123 and 78.

Lynx FacTOR is a validated solution that complies with 21 CFR Part 11, ensuring regulatory compliance for pharmaceutical companies.
