Carrier Launches Lynx Logix Platform for Predictive Supply Chain Visibility and Mitigation

Carrier Global Corporation has announced the launch of Lynx Logix, a new software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution that helps predict and address supply chain disruptions by automatically identifying trends, patterns and issues in distribution networks or transportation lanes. The solution is expected to revolutionize how supply chain professionals handle risks and disruptions in product transportation.

Recent world events, such as COVID-19 and geopolitical disruptions, have shown that supply chain disruptions can no longer be considered rare events. At the same time, developments in personalized medicine and pharmaceutical medicinal advancements combined with new business models, like decentralized clinical trials and direct-to-patient distribution, has made it vital for pharmaceutical companies to reconsider the approach to risk management within their operations. In addition, organizations are increasingly seeking ways to reduce Scope 3 emissions via an optimized cold chain with improved visibility into their supply chain carbon footprint.

“Lynx Logix is transforming supply chain management, offering AI and machine learning to drive a shift from traditional, reactive lane risk assessment to proactive risk mitigation,” said Alice DeBiasio, Vice President and General Manager, Truck Trailer Americas and Digital Solutions, Carrier. “By offering in-transit insights, Lynx Logix gives users more control over their temperature-controlled logistics to support quick decision making.”

From pharmaceutical manufacturers to logistics service providers and distributors, Lynx Logix provides supply chain visibility to adopt innovative, proactive risk management strategies. The solution also reduces costs associated with manual risk analysis and operational logistics and helps users gain a competitive edge.

Key features and capabilities include:

  • Situational Awareness: Reveals risks to supply chains by incorporating data from IoT devices and external sources, such as weather events, traffic, customs delays and port congestion.
  • Lane Risk Profile: Strategically determines the risk profile of specific lanes and predicts changes based on historical lane data and real-time supply chain information.
  • Distribution Network Mapping: Automatically maps distribution lanes, identifies risks and analyzes the root causes of disruptions.
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning: Leverages AI and machine learning to generate predictive insights from product quality (particularly within the cold chain), situational awareness and logistics.
