Carrier Transicold Enhances Lynx Fleet with New Maintenance Dashboard
Carrier Transicold has launched a new Maintenance dashboard for its Lynx Fleet telematics platform, allowing users to create customized preventive maintenance (PM) schedules for their transport refrigeration units (TRUs) based on real-time performance data.

Enhancing the Lynx Fleet’s two-way management and control capabilities, the Maintenance dashboard enables users to set PM intervals based on calendar days or operating hours for up to three items on the truck or trailer. These include total diesel engine hours, total switch-on hours, start cycles, and high-speed engine hours. The dashboard uses precise numerical values and a simple color-coded indicator to show the status of each asset's PM cycle.

“With the Maintenance dashboard, Lynx Fleet users can proactively schedule preventive maintenance based on what the equipment tells them instead of relying on calendar alerts and manual checks of TRU controllers,” said Scott Blair, Senior Digital Program Manager, Lynx Fleet Telematics.

Key features of the Maintenance dashboard include:

  • Tabular Data Presentation: Similar to the Lynx Fleet Asset View, it presents the latest data about all assets on the Lynx Fleet network in one place, with options to filter and sort information.
  • Streamlined Dealer Communication: Enables collaborative monitoring of TRU performance with Carrier Transicold dealers for seamless maintenance scheduling.
  • Centralized Service Information: Provides easy access to essential information such as asset ID, TRU model type, and engine operating hours for efficient service scheduling.

Part of the Lynx Fleet’s Monitor & Enhanced Control data plan, the Maintenance dashboard allows for remote monitoring and management of asset performance, including downloading diagnostic information from TRU controllers. Lynx Fleet hardware comes standard on Carrier’s most popular trailer refrigeration units, with additional components like fuel sensors, temperature probes, and solar panels available as needed. Activation requires a data plan and commissioning by an authorized Carrier Transicold dealer.
