Carrier Transicold launches Pulsor eCool electric unit in India

Carrier Transicold has introduced its all-electric refrigeration unit, the Pulsor eCool, to the Indian market during the REFCOLD Cold Chain Exhibition in New Delhi. The launch highlights Carrier’s focus on energy-efficient and sustainable transport refrigeration technologies.

Designed for compatibility with electric vehicles, the Pulsor eCool aims to address the evolving needs of India’s logistics sector. According to the company, the unit reduces cargo box pre-cooling time from 30℃ to -18℃ by up to 31% compared to competitor products*. The system is equipped with a high-efficiency inverter compressor and a patented heat dissipation design, contributing to up to 32% total energy savings*.

Weighing 99 kg, the Pulsor eCool features an aerodynamic build with rounded corners, honeycomb grille, and bottom air intake to minimize wind resistance. It incorporates Carrier’s intelligent frequency conversion algorithm, enabling ±1℃ temperature control accuracy through combined temperature compensation, frequency conversion, and stepless adjustment. A tilted evaporator fan improves air circulation and mitigates the effects of cargo stacking.

The unit includes the Intellitrix Controller with a 3.2-inch display and four modes: Standard, Strong Cooling, Low Noise, and Energy Saving. It also supports integration with Carrier’s Lynx Fleet digital platform for remote monitoring, diagnostics, and performance control.

“The Pulsor eCool represents a transformative step forward in efficient and smart refrigeration,” said Pankaj Mehta, Managing Director, Truck Trailer India, Carrier Transicold. “Designed specifically for India’s dynamic logistics landscape, it meets the growing demand for electric vehicle-compatible solutions and sets a new benchmark for clean, intelligent cold chain performance.”

*Performance comparisons are based on Carrier's internal benchmarking against competitor offerings.
