Carrier Ventures invests in Net Feasa to expand cold chain visibility at sea

Carrier Global Corporation announced that its venture capital arm, Carrier Ventures, has invested in Ireland-based Net Feasa to enhance real-time cold chain visibility across maritime shipping routes.

The investment aims to close one of the last remaining gaps in cold chain monitoring by enabling visibility of refrigerated containers during ocean transit. Net Feasa specializes in wireless IoT connectivity and vessel network technology that supports real-time data transmission at sea.

According to Carrier, the integration of Net Feasa’s Vessel Control Tower™ technology with the Carrier Lynx Fleet platform will allow shipping operators to access secure, shipboard connectivity and data analytics. The system is designed to support mixed-fleet monitoring, advanced wireless networks, and emerging AI-driven analytics tools.

Net Feasa’s dual-mode networks comply with maritime cybersecurity and radio transmission standards, enabling seamless and secure communication across both territorial waters and international sea lanes.

"Our customers need real-time visibility across every link in their cold chain," said Edward Dryden, President, Climate Solutions Transportation, Carrier. "Through our partnership with Net Feasa, we are extending that visibility to international waters, combining secure shipboard networks with the Carrier Lynx Fleet platform to help shipping lines make faster, data-driven decisions that protect cargo, improve efficiency and reduce waste."

Mike Fitzgerald, Chairman of Net Feasa, added: "We’re excited to deepen our partnership with Carrier to develop and deploy open, standards-based visibility platforms to the intermodal supply chain. This actionable data underwrites quality, safety and security across the final gaps in the supply chain."
