Cold Chain Technologies (CCT) has acquired Global Cold Chain Solutions (GCCS), strengthening its presence in the Asia-Pacific region. The deal, which includes GCCS operations in Australia and India, enhances CCT’s ability to provide passive cold chain solutions for temperature-sensitive life sciences products. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
GCCS specializes in high-performance thermal assurance solutions for the life sciences sector. The company’s engineering expertise and regional manufacturing capabilities support the secure transportation of pharmaceuticals and other critical products. Its proprietary designs and production processes serve a global customer base, including major life sciences companies.
“GCCS has established itself as a regional market leader over the last two decades by leveraging its differentiated technologies and broad-ranging portfolio of products and services,” said Ranjeet Banerjee, CEO of CCT. “We are thrilled to partner with Andrew and the entire GCCS team to further expand CCT’s footprint in Asia Pacific, which continues to see rapid investment across all life sciences verticals.”
Andrew Meyers, Founder and CEO of GCCS, highlighted the benefits of the acquisition: “We are excited to leverage CCT’s diversified product portfolio, thermal engineering expertise, and proprietary digital track-and-trace software to accelerate our worldwide growth.”
This marks CCT’s fifth acquisition since partnering with Aurora Capital Partners in 2019. During this period, CCT has expanded its portfolio of sustainable packaging solutions, launched a digital platform, and increased its global manufacturing and service capabilities.
