Cold Chain Technologies Acquires Tower Cold Chain to Expand Product Portfolio and Global Reach

Cold Chain Technologies (CCT), a leading provider in the transportation of temperature-sensitive life sciences products, has announced its acquisition of Tower Cold Chain, a global supplier of advanced passive reusable cold chain solutions. The financial terms of the deal remain undisclosed.

Established in 1999, Tower is known for its sophisticated passive reusable temperature-controlled containers that transport high-value life sciences products. Operating from its headquarters in the United Kingdom and over 20 service hubs across five continents, Tower supports its esteemed pharmaceutical and life sciences clients worldwide.

"Tower has built a remarkable array of technically advanced and durable reusable products that meet the rigorous demands of global pharmaceutical clients," noted Ranjeet Banerjee, CEO of CCT. "We are excited to collaborate with Niall and the Tower team to provide innovative products and expanded geographic services to our customers. This acquisition solidifies CCT's position as a leader in temperature-controlled packaging solutions, backed by our expertise in thermal engineering, digital monitoring, global manufacturing, and sustainability."

Niall Balfour, CEO of Tower, shared, "We are eager to capitalize on CCT’s extensive product line, manufacturing strength, proprietary software, and R&D prowess to propel our international growth. CCT is a recognized leader in our field, making them the ideal partner to drive Tower's future expansion. We look forward to collaborating with Ranjeet and his team to enhance support for our customers, employees, and the broader life sciences community."

This acquisition marks CCT’s fourth expansion since its partnership with Aurora Capital Partners in 2019. During this period, CCT has significantly broadened its portfolio of sustainable packaging solutions, ventured into new life sciences sectors, introduced a digital platform, and expanded its global manufacturing and service capabilities.
