CubeCold Europe Expands with Acquisition of Herve Transport & Coldstore

CubeCold Europe (CubeCold) has announced the acquisition of Herve Transport & Coldstore, a prominent player in specialized cold storage and transport. This strategic move aims to bolster CubeCold’s leadership in temperature-controlled logistics.

Herve Transport & Coldstore, established in 1963, has built a solid reputation in the cold storage sector, offering flexible storage, cross-docking, and distribution services for products such as fruit, vegetables, and meat. This acquisition aligns with CubeCold’s growth strategy and ambition to lead the industry.

Expansion of Capabilities and Services

The integration of Herve Transport & Coldstore into CubeCold’s network will enhance the company's service offerings. Herve’s robust customer relationships and multiple cold stores in Belgium complement CubeCold’s values and service portfolio. The acquisition expands CubeCold’s services to include specialized cold storage, order picking, value-added logistics solutions, and conditioned transport.

Gerben Paauwe, CEO of CubeCold Europe, stated that Herve Transport & Coldstore’s strong reputation and expertise in cold storage will significantly strengthen CubeCold’s market position in the Benelux and northern France, allowing for improved customer service.

Strategic Advantages and Sustainability

Located near key logistics hubs in the Benelux and northern France, Herve Transport & Coldstore's strategic sites will enhance CubeCold’s operational efficiency and optimize transport routes. Both companies’ commitment to sustainable development and corporate social responsibility will contribute to minimizing environmental impact.

Enhanced Innovation

Herve Transport & Coldstore’s 24/7 delivery service and innovative information system for accurate goods tracking will be integrated into CubeCold’s operations. This technological integration is expected to further improve the efficiency and reliability of CubeCold’s logistics services.
