Dual-Temperature Refrigerated Vehicle At CV Show

CoolKit will be showcasing their latest Volkswagen Crafterrefrigerated vehicle at this year’s Commercial Vehicle Show.

The Trendline model, one of their most popular large vehicles in 2018, has been fitted with a dual-temperature conversion enabling the vehicle to carry frozen and chilled goods simultaneously.

Visitors to the show will be able to view the vehicles’ moveable lightweight bulkhead, which allows for flexibility regarding the size of each compartment – and the ability to use the full space as either freezer or chiller, depending on the cargo.

The medium wheelbase van features GRP high-impact reinforced panels – a more durable and lightweight alternative to traditional conversion methods – offering an improved payload.

The vehicle also features an external side slab door, anti-slip GRP textured floor, pallet loading protection pack and high-intensity LED lighting.

Unique to CoolKit, the van has been fitted with the CurtAir system to both side and rear entrance, creating an effective and invisible climate separation set to keep the cold, or in some cases heat, inside and the ambient humid air outside during door openings.

The lightweight bulkhead has been sourced from long-standing supplier Commercial Body Fittings Ltd.

Finally, the vehicle includes the SevenEye Tracking System and Transcan Advance recorder and printer, supplied by Seven Telematics.

The technology which works across any type of refrigeration system, makes management and compliance easier and provides a comprehensive field of information, whether that’s for a single van or across an entire fleet.

CoolKit is also set to exhibit a range of Melform insulated containers and is currently working on an exciting second vehicle to display, with more information soon to be released.
