ECOOLTEC to spotlight new electric refrigeration solutions at Transpotec Logitec

ECOOLTEC will use Transpotec Logitec in Milan to present several new products and system developments for transport refrigeration, with the main focus on electrically driven units and components. The company will also support the trade fair debut of the Powered Trailer, a fully electrified refrigerated semi-trailer developed with Nivalis Energy Europe and built with a body and chassis from Italian manufacturer L’idealcar.

The central product on display is the TM182 transport refrigeration unit, which ECOOLTEC is exhibiting for the first time in Italy. The unit is designed to run without an integrated diesel engine and can be powered via a truck engine with an integrated high-performance alternator, a battery-electric vehicle, a solar charging system, the mains grid or a separate battery. ECOOLTEC said the system uses only natural refrigerants with virtually zero global warming potential.

The company will also present the E1312 and E1221 flat evaporators. According to ECOOLTEC, the E1312 is intended for multi-temperature units divided lengthwise by a partition in a one-to-two ratio, while the single-discharge E1221 is designed for units with a one-to-one longitudinal division or for use with a transverse partition.

Another new element at the stand is ECOOLTEC’s own remote control with a high-resolution graphic display, together with the G30 generator, which connects the refrigeration units to truck engines. The company said the compact frequency converter allows the units to be combined with diesel, compressed natural gas, liquefied natural gas and electric truck powertrains.

A further highlight is the debut of the Powered Trailer from Nivalis Energy Europe, formerly known as SolarEdge. The trailer combines an electric axle, a roof-mounted photovoltaic system, a battery and an ECOOLTEC TM182 refrigeration unit. After the exhibition, customers will be able to hire the multi-temperature e-trailer for in-service evaluation.
