Industry professionals in temperature-controlled logistics will join technology experts, food sector partners, and officials to examine how artificial intelligence (AI) and automation can support resilience and sustainability in third-party cold chain services across Africa.
The event will be chaired by Renier du Preez, GCCA Africa Chairman and CEO of Digistics. The two-day program includes presentations from sector leaders such as Sean Hay (Fruit South Africa), Michelle Constant (American Chamber of Commerce in South Africa), Adam Walker (Keyrus), Dr Edison Machedi (Border Management Authority), Paul Frankish (African Infrastructure Investment Managers), Andreas Rüsch (Trade Consultant), and Jayson Coomer (Chicoa Fish Farm Mozambique).
GCCA Director for Africa Paul Matthew stated: “Unlocking cold chain growth is key to Africa’s economic prosperity, to securing new international trade opportunities, to advancing healthcare provision, and to building greater resilience in the food supply chain.”
He added that the conference will address priority themes including global trade in perishable goods, financing cold chain infrastructure, and improving energy efficiency and resilience. Attendees will also have opportunities for networking and viewing cold chain innovations at the event exhibition.
