Interstate Warehousing Expands Cold Storage Facility in Kingman, AZ

Phase 2 will add 194,000 sq ft and 24,000 pallet positions to meet rising demand.

Interstate Warehousing has begun construction on a major expansion of its cold storage facility in Kingman, Arizona, just over a year after operations began. The Phase 2 development will add 194,000 square feet (approx. 18,023 m²) of refrigerated space and 24,000 pallet positions, with completion expected in the fourth quarter of 2025.

The facility reached full capacity within months of opening and processed nearly 100,000 orders in 2024. Increased demand from frozen food customers is driving the need for more storage and distribution space at the site. The expansion will bring the total facility size to 467,000 square feet (approx. 43,386 m²) and over 54,000 pallet positions.

Located on a 92-acre (approx. 37.2-hectare) site, the Kingman location was master planned to accommodate future growth. When fully built out, the site could support up to 1.2 million square feet (approx. 111,500 m²) of cold storage space.

“We are excited to be expanding Interstate Warehousing in Kingman,” said John Tippmann, III, Executive Vice President of Tippmann Group / Interstate Warehousing. “We love this community and what our employees have done at this facility. They have provided a level of service that is second-to-none in the industry. It’s that commitment to customer service, along with our customers' needs, that has led to the opportunity for us to grow this building and continue to expand our footprint in Kingman.”

The Kingman facility is one of several operated by Interstate Warehousing across the United States, providing temperature-controlled storage and logistics solutions for the food industry.
