The Biomed line-up allow for precision in temperature control, with a range of -25°C to + 40°C, and a degree of accuracy in temperature adjustment of +/- 0.5°C. The heating and cooling units within the containers work to guarantee the required temperature no matter what the weather conditions. The containers can be connected to the vehicle’s battery during transportation and, once you have reached the destination, they can be connected to the power mains, so that there is no disruption within the cold chain.

Eco-friendly, fully recyclable at the end of their operational life and easy to clean, they are the perfect solution for pharmaceutical temperature controlled transport.

Biomed 140 Insulated Container

The Biomed 140 is the latest addition to the Melform range, and will be on display at The CV Show within our pharmaceutical refrigerated vehicle.

The product has a 140 litres capacity and is available in 4 versions:

Biomed 140 – Temperature range 0°C to + 40°C

Biomed 140 – Temperature range -18°C to + 40°C

Biomed 140 – Temperature range -25°C to + 40°C

Biomed 140 – Temperature range -30°C to + 40°C

The heating and cooling unit within the container assist in maintaining the desired temperature independently of the external weather conditions. The heating unit is triggered when external temperature is lower than the temperature set with the programmable digital thermostat. Likewise, the cooling unit is triggered when external temperature is higher that the temperature set on the thermostat.

The inner and outer walls of the container and the door are manufactured using polyethylene, and the insulated material between the walls and the door is manufactured using polyurethane, both materials being compliant with safety legislations and free of CFC and HCFC.

External dimensions: 620mm x 1000mm x 710mm (h)
Internal dimensions: 415mm x 620mm x 515mm (h)

The container can be transported using ambient vehicles as well as refrigerated vehicles. Using a number of containers it is possible to transport goods in multiple temperature ranges simultaneously within one vehicle.
