Nagel-Group acquires all shares in Tiefkühllogistik-Center Wustermark

The food logistics company Nagel-Group further expands its commitment to the frozen sector and acquires all shares in the Tiefkühllogistik-Center Wustermark (TCW).

A large share of the TCW Wustermark GmbH, located on the outskirts of Berlin, has been a part of the Nagel-Group since 2012. The MUK Logistik Gesellschaft has now agreed on the takeover of the remaining 19 per cent. Opened in 2002, the site has more than 20,500 pallet spaces. The range of services the facility covers includes, among others, storage, order picking and cross-docking goods in the frozen logistics area down to -30 °C, as well as blast freezing down to -38°C. “The TCW offers our customers a comprehensive range of services, which we can improve even further by acquiring all the shares,” says Christian Berlin, Managing Director of the frozen division at the Nagel-Group.

This is already the second takeover in the frozen sector the Nagel-Group carries through within a few weeks. The food logistics company had already acquired all the shares of the Tiefkühlcenter Glesien, located in the Free State of Saxony, in December 2019. We are using both investments to strengthen our frozen food business and are laying the critical strategic groundwork for future development in this promising segment,” explains Carsten Taucke, CEO of the Nagel-Group.
