NewCold celebrates construction milestone in Poland

NewCold, a global leader in advanced food logistics, celebrated the completion of another milestone in the construction of a state-of-the-art temperature-controlled warehouse in Nowy Modlin, near Warsaw.

The Modlin milestone celebration brought together representatives of local businesses and government organizations, highlighting the strategic importance of this investment for both Poland and Central and Eastern Europe.Guests had the opportunity to see the construction progress in Nowy Modlin and learn about NewCold’s proprietary technology that will power the new center.

The 112 million euro investment is expected to bring advancements in logistics and transportation to the region, driving long-term economic growth. The new warehouse is expected to create 90 new jobs and add 94,600 pallet positions, bringing NewCold Poland’s capacity to 207,200 pallet positions. The new warehouse will be one of the most advanced facilities in the world, strengthening Poland’s position as a leading European logistics hub.

NewCold’s unwavering commitment to the highest levels of customer service drove the successful implementation of innovative solutions for Nowel’s Polish Bakery. The bakery will be strategically located adjacent to NewCold’s automated warehouse, enabling efficient storage of frozen products at the new facility. NewCold’s global network and expanding footprint are poised to help food producers in Poland access new markets.

NewCold’s growth in Central and Eastern Europe is set to continue, with plans announced for a new facility in Bucharest, Romania. The automated warehouse, equipped with the latest technologies, will offer a capacity of 87,000 pallet positions. NewCold’s comprehensive, end-to-end logistics solutions are set to drive industry development in the region, underscoring its commitment to regional and global advancement.

The warehouse in Nowy Modlin is NewCold’s second investment in Poland. The first, located in Kutno, is currently undergoing expansion to double its capacity. NewCold’s dynamic growth reflects the rising demand for temperature-controlled advanced logistics solutions. The proprietary technology and 24/7 always-on approach serve some of the world’s largest food producers - adding resilience, efficiency, and sustainability to their supply chains.
