The construction of a new plant in Poland and the expansion of an existing one are proceeding at a rapid pace. NewCold is building a €112 million modern temperature-controlled warehouse in Nowy Modlin, near Warsaw.
NewCold's automated complex in Kutno is being doubled in size, with a capacity of 57,600 pallet spaces. The new warehouse near Warsaw will create 90 jobs and add 94,600 pallet spaces, bringing NewCold's total capacity in Poland to 207,200 pallet spaces.
“We are growing in Poland, Europe and around the world because we had the foresight to imagine a future-proof food supply chain. From modern energy solutions that counteract rising electricity and water prices, the use of automation and robotics to improve efficiency and accuracy, to solving logistics challenges by connecting an expanding transportation network with strategically located large-scale warehouses,” said Roberto Alessio, Vice President of Business and growth. Eastern Europe.
“All of this is powered by NewCold's proprietary software, which seamlessly integrates with our clients' ERP systems. This means we can offer them the transparency, traceability and scalability they need,” he added.
In addition to the economic impact and high-quality jobs created by this investment in Poland, the new plant in Nowy Modlin and the Kutno expansion will help strengthen the resilience of the food supply chain in a major European logistics hub.
