Pelican Biothermal Cuts Ribbon At New Network Station And Service Center In Indianapolis

Pelican BioThermal celebrated the grand opening of a new network station and service center in Indianapolis. The major network station will hold inventory service, refurbish, repair and condition Pelican BioThermal’s reusable Crēdo Cargo and Crēdo Xtreme on Demand shippers, as well as service its industry-leading Crēdo Cube line of reusable parcel shippers.

The facility is near the Indianapolis International Airport, a major logistics hub for carriers such as FedEx, United Airlines Cargo and Cargolux; as well as pharmaceutical giants such as Eli Lilly, Roche Diagnostics, Siemens, Baxter and Cook Phamica. Additionally, the new location adds to Pelican BioThermal’s growing footprint of network stations and drop points, of which are planned to exceed 100 sites by early 2019.

“Indianapolis is home to some of the leading pharmaceutical companies in the world, leading the way in the development of the next generation of biologics,” Dominic Hyde, vice president of Crēdo on Demand, said at the ribbon-cutting ceremony. “This new location gives a new level of flexibility to our partners to develop and distribute temperature-sensitive drug treatments to the doctors and patients that need them.

The 50,000 square foot facility in the Plainfield, Indiana Gateway Business Park will be one of the largest locations in the quickly growing Crēdo on Demand network. As an owned and operated facility, Pelican BioThermal staff will be able to provide unparalleled customer service to their customers relying on their Crēdo Cube and Crēdo on Demand products.

The location complements the existing and expanding network of service centers, network stations and rental drop-off points spanning Europe, Asia and the Americas, providing customers with an additional option for returning Crēdo on Demand assets at the end of the rental period, including Crēdo Xtreme and Crēdo Cargo temperature controlled containers.

The Crēdo on Demand service is a high performance, cost-effective temperature controlled shipper rental program allowing organizations to choose the shipper application that best fits the company’s requirements, logistics profile and budget.
