Pelican Biothermal Launches Dublin Network Station & Service Center

Pelican BioThermal launched its new network station and service center in Dublin, Ireland with an official opening ceremony. The facility is dedicated to service, refurbish, repair and condition Pelican BioThermal’s reusable Crēdo on Demand shippers.

Leaders from global pharmaceutical companies, air freight and logistics businesses attended the prestigious event, staged to mark the official unveiling of the Dublin network station and service center. Strategically located in Harristown, next to Dublin Airport, the facility is ideally located to serve the ever-growing pharma industry in Ireland, home to some of the world’s leading biotech and pharma companies.

The Dublin facility is focused on Pelican BioThermal’s Crēdo on Demand program, which provide a high performance, flexible rental option for temperature-controlled containers such as Crēdo Cargo, Crēdo Xtreme passive bulk containers (excellent payload efficiency for use on aircraft), and Crēdo Cube. This latest launch puts Pelican BioThermal on track to realize its plan to exceed 100 network stations and drop points for its rental program in 2019.

“We were delighted to officially open our network station and service center in Dublin, a key hub of manufacturing and distribution for the pharma industry,” said Dominic Hyde, vice president of Crēdo on Demand. “Ireland is home to some of the largest pharmaceutical and healthcare companies in the world and our latest location provides customers more flexible and convenient shipping options at this major logistics hub.”

Following a ribbon cutting ceremony, invited guests toured the facility at the event which also showcased the capabilities of Pelican BioThermal’s temperature-controlled shipping containers available via its Crēdo on Demand rental program. The rapidly expanding rental program allows businesses to select the shipper application that best fits their company’s requirements, logistics profile and budget.

Dublin is a key hub of manufacturing and distribution for the pharma industry and Ireland is home to some of the largest pharmaceutical and healthcare companies in the world including Lilly, Pfizer, Sanofi, Amgen, Allergan, Alexion, GlaxoSmithKline, Merck and Pramerica.
