The pharmaceutical industry has in recent times been our fastest growing market, and accordingly we boasts many market-leading pharmaceutical clients who rely on our high-quality and innovative refrigerated vehicles, for their distribution needs. Accredited as an Integrated Partner of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, we will be showcasing the all-new converted Crafter panel van, specified with the needs of the pharmaceutical sector in mind. The vehicle, which adheres to the strict GDP guidelines, features an advanced climate control system, lightweight controlled drug drawer and rack containing the new Melform 140L Biomed refrigerated box. The vehicle also contains a temperature data logger and white noise reversing warning alarm. Also, being unveiled will be a chassis cab with a our award-winning insulated body, a year on from debuting our first box body vehicle. The vehicle has been further refined with numerous component innovations providing a usable payload exceeding 1,201kg (net of a 75kg driver and a 90% fuel load). The conversion also includes an invisible refrigeration unit, for the safest, most aerodynamic operation and aesthetic appeal.
We have recently secured sole rights to distribute the range of insulated and temperature controlled containers produced by Italian manufacturer Melform in the UK and Ireland, and we will be displaying the product for the first time at the CV Show. Melform produces a wide range of insulated containers ranging in size from 20 litres to 1350 litres capacity. Comprising a heavy-duty polyethylene shell in conjunction with polyurethane insulation, the containers are manufactured using a rotational moulding process which results in strong, light construction without corners, joints and welds, and they are fully recyclable at the end of their operational life. Melform’s extensive product range includes
- Biomed – suitable for the transport and storage of pharmaceutical products and laboratory samples, this range features electrically powered cooling and heating with a temperature range between -30C and heat up to +40C.
- Koala – suitable for the storage of chilled and frozen loads for the foodservice and catering industries, this range features electrically powered cooling to -30C.
- Cargo – a range of larger insulated containers of up to 1,350 litres capacity suitable for multi-temperature transport, or refrigerated transport aboard ambient vehicles.
- Thermax – for industrial catering applications, a range of insulated containers for transporting meals and drinks whilst maintaining hot or cold temperatures.
