Tower Cold Chain Expands Global Network After Cold Chain Technologies Acquisition

Tower Cold Chain, recently acquired by Cold Chain Technologies (CCT), has significantly expanded its global network of passive temperature-controlled containers. This strategic move enhances both companies' capabilities, catering to the rising global demand for pharmaceutical and life sciences logistics.

The integration resulted in a comprehensive network featuring 54 regional hubs and three Centres of Excellence across 26 countries, offering improved geographic reach and customer service. New hubs in Toronto and Hyderabad further strengthen the presence in the Americas and Asia-Pacific regions.

CCT's infrastructure boosts Tower's presence in South America and parts of APAC, allowing customers to access a wider range of temperature-controlled solutions, combining reusable passive containers and single-use packaging options.

This expansion bolsters CCT's position in the EMEA region, where Tower already had a strong presence. The enhanced network improves logistics efficiency, sustainability goals, and customer service by reducing transport distances and optimizing return processes.

Niall Balfour, CEO of Tower Cold Chain, expressed enthusiasm for the enhanced product availability and local expertise through the expanded hub network, positioning the company for continued success into 2025.
