Trane Adds New Cold Store Units and Power Options to Rental Fleet

Trane has expanded its rental fleet of Cold Store container units across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Australia, and New Zealand, introducing new container sizes, modular configurations, and alternative power solutions. The enhanced fleet supports a wide range of cold chain applications, offering temperature control from 45°C to -70°C.

Expanded Product Range and Modular Flexibility

The updated fleet includes compact 7-ft L-STORE containers, joining the existing 10-ft, 20-ft, and 40-ft options. These units, developed with Thermo King refrigeration systems and AL-KO Airtech engineering, are designed for static cold storage in sectors such as food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, and warehousing.

Each container features interior lighting, man-trap alarms, emergency escape releases, and wash-down drains. Optional upgrades include telematics, remote monitoring, and controlled atmosphere settings. The M-STORE line introduces modular units that can be joined to form larger refrigerated warehouse spaces without requiring extensive construction or permitting.

Alternative Power Solutions

Trane has also added stationary power options for cold storage continuity, including battery packs, clip-on generator sets, and solar panels. The rental battery packs come in sizes from 35kWh to 175kWh and integrate all necessary electronics and controls within a single frame, providing a quieter, lower-emission alternative to diesel gensets.

"Offering a comprehensive range of cooling, heating, cold storage and stationary power solutions products, Trane is uniquely positioned to meet the diverse and evolving rental needs of our customers, ensuring we meet all their energy efficiency, temperature control, and sustainable energy management requirements," said Louis Rompre, services business leader at Trane EMEA.

The modularity and energy options provide customers with flexible, scalable, and sustainable storage solutions suited for short- and long-term rental needs across varied environments and applications.
