Vertical Cold Storage Opens New Temperature-Controlled Distribution Center in Burleson, TX

Vertical Cold Storage, a developer and operator of temperature-controlled distribution centers, has announced the grand opening of its new facility in Burleson, TX. This marks the company's second distribution center in the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) market, following the acquisition of Lone Star Cold Storage in Richardson, TX, in 2022. Both facilities offer a comprehensive range of services, including blast freezing, case picking, kitting, and labeling.

The Burleson facility, strategically located adjacent to I-35, spans over 400,000 square feet with an average clear height of 55 feet and 53 dock doors. It features multiple rooms convertible to -20° F, making it ideal for a wide variety of frozen and refrigerated food and other perishable products.

"Our Richardson facility serves the Dallas side of the DFW market, and Burleson covers the Fort Worth side. This allows us to offer our customers a broad range of temperature-controlled services from both sides of the market," said West Hutchison, President and CEO of Vertical Cold Storage.

Supported by real estate investment firm Platform Ventures, Vertical Cold Storage continues to expand its footprint in the temperature-controlled logistics sector, enhancing its ability to meet the growing demand for cold storage solutions in the region.
