Daikin America, Inc. and Claros Technologies Inc. have partnered to develop market-ready PFAS destruction solutions for industrial applications. The collaboration focuses on treating industrial process water and permanently destroying PFAS at its source.
In December 2025, the companies conducted commercial tests using ClarosTechUV technology. During the operation, the system treated more than 170,000 gallons (approximately 644,000 liters) of industrial process water.
According to the companies, the tests achieved 99.99% PFAS destruction performance. The results demonstrated the possibility of applying the technology to destroy PFAS directly in industrial process water rather than leaving the substances untreated.
Daikin America said the partnership supports the continued use of fluorochemicals in critical applications while enhancing environmental protection. The companies are positioning the work within the evolving discussion around PFAS management in the United States and Europe.
