Haier Launches R290 Heat Pumps from 3.5 to 40 kW in Denmark with Solar

Haier HVAC Solutions has launched its R290 air-to-water heat pump portfolio on the Danish market through a partnership with Solar Denmark, which will commercialise the range for professional installers across residential and small commercial applications.

Solar will offer the Haier Monobloc, Hydro Split and All in One units, covering capacities from 6 to 16 kW. Two new models extend the portfolio at both ends. The Mini, available in 3.5 and 5 kW, is built for homes where installation space is limited and is the smallest heat pump available on the Danish market.

At the upper end, the Commercial Heat Pump applies Haier R290 technology to the small commercial sector in 26, 30, 35 and 40 kW capacities. Target applications include offices, hotels, restaurants, gyms and small commercial buildings. The products carry a six-year warranty.

Danish installers will be able to register for dedicated Haier product training at Solar’s facilities starting this autumn. Completion of the training makes installers eligible for the six-year warranty on Haier air-to-water heat pumps, with registration details available through Solar. Government subsidy schemes are supporting heat pump uptake among Danish homeowners, opening additional business for installers.

The range was introduced at Solar’s Climate & Energy Day on 3 September, marking the start of the partnership in Denmark.

“As part of this partnership, Solar will provide comprehensive support across training, presales, technical assistance and after sales service,” said Chris Johnson, Head of Heating Northern Europe at Haier HVAC Solutions.
