Magnoric to Unveil 1 kW Magnetocaloric Display Cabinet at Chillventa

Magnoric will showcase the C1000 MarketCool, a full-size magnetocaloric refrigerated display cabinet for supermarkets with more than 1 kW of cooling capacity, at Chillventa 2026 on 13 to 15 October. The pre-series unit operates without conventional refrigerant gases and is intended for pilot projects and commercial validation, bringing magnetocaloric refrigeration closer to market.

The C1000 MarketCool uses magnetocaloric cooling, with heat carried by a water-based heat transfer fluid rather than a conventional refrigerant gas. The cabinet offers a display volume of 1,750 L (approx. 62 cu ft) and meets temperature class M2, covering -1°C to +7°C (30°F to 45°F). The system runs without compressor-related noise or vibration.

Magnoric developed the cabinet in collaboration with Kaplanlar for real supermarket applications, with a design focused on integration and performance in retail environments. As a pre-series platform, it gives selected partners the opportunity to test magnetocaloric cooling in real applications and work directly with Magnoric on future deployment.

Magnoric is a Franco-German technology company based in Duppigheim, France, that develops and industrialises magnetocaloric systems for cooling. Part of the VULKAN Group, it combines expertise in materials, magnetics, thermal engineering and mechanics. The C1000 MarketCool will be on display in Hall 4A, Booth 115, on the VULKAN Group stand.
