2021 AIRAH Awards nominations deadline extended

AIRAH is calling on the Australian HVAC&R industry to share its stories of excellence and innovation by nominating for one of the many accolades at the 2021 AIRAH Awards.

Every year the Institute selects the leading individuals, projects and products of our industry, and hosts a black-tie gala dinner to celebrate their achievements. Those involved receive extensive promotion through AIRAH’s magazines, social media, websites and newsletters before and after the event. They also earn much-deserved recognition from industry leaders on the night. And finalists and winners alike take away a highly regarded accolade that they can display as a mark of excellence for the future.

“If you are looking for a way to shine a light on the great work that your organisation or an individual is doing, I encourage you to nominate,” says AIRAH CEO Tony Gleeson, M.AIRAH. “We have seen for previous winners that success breeds success – being selected as a finalist or winner at the AIRAH Awards gives companies, people and products added momentum and helps them build on their achievements.”

To give industry the best chance of participating, the AIRAH Awards nominations deadline has been extended until June 4. The AIRAH Awards gala will take place on November 11 in Sydney.

Excellence in all areas

Thirteen different categories offer opportunities for everyone in the HVAC&R industry. They include Excellence in Sustainability, Best HVAC Retrofit or Upgrade, Excellence in Refrigeration, Best Product, Excellence in Innovation, Student of the Year, and Future Leader.

For those unsure about the process itself or eligibility requirements, AIRAH staff are happy to discuss, explain and elaborate, and if necessary, point out which award category might be most appropriate.

The AIRAH Awards are one of the Institute’s many initiatives aimed at lifting the profile of the HVAC&R and building services industry.

“It’s a fantastic way to celebrate the work of our vital but often overlooked sector,” says Gleeson. “We know that, by their nature, many experts in this field tend to get on with their work rather than trumpeting their achievements. Every year we are blown away by the quality of the nominees and their achievements – achievements that would otherwise go under the radar. It is AIRAH’s mission and our privilege to share these amazing stories.”
