AFPAC unveils action plan to accelerate heat pump deployment in France

AFPAC has published its action plan to support the electrification of heating and accelerate the rollout of heat pumps in buildings, in line with France’s decarbonization goals.

To meet the targets set by the French National Low-Carbon Strategy (SNBC 3), the plan aims to install 8.8 million heat pumps in residential buildings by 2030—an average of 850,000 units per year.

Structured around eight key action areas, the plan focuses on removing technical, regulatory, and financial barriers. It also seeks to ensure widespread access to heat pump technology, improve building energy performance, and support household purchasing power.
