AHI Carrier Toshiba NZ appoints new GM and expands leadership team

AHI Carrier Toshiba New Zealand has announced a new leadership structure and growth strategy aimed at strengthening its position in the HVAC&R market, with a focus on sustainable innovation and energy efficiency.

The initiative includes direct reporting to the company’s global head office in Dubai and the appointment of Gary Felstead as General Manager. Felstead brings experience from leadership roles at Fujitsu and Daikin NZ and will lead efforts to enhance environmental performance, energy management, and customer satisfaction.

Several new appointments have also been made to support this strategy. Shirli Talbot joins as Marketing and Events Manager, focusing on rebranding and energy-efficient messaging. Simon Burridge takes the role of Business Development Manager, drawing on experience from ACSL and Fujitsu NZ. Krishneel Ram has been named Technical Sales Business Account Manager, bringing over 20 years of industry experience. Phil Annabell joins as Residential and Light Commercial Business Development Manager.

As part of the expansion, four Totaline outlets have been integrated into operations to provide comprehensive HVAC solutions and aftermarket support.

The company also plans to align with the global Carrier identity through a rebrand and introduce a new product lineup designed to meet evolving energy standards in New Zealand.

“With our solid foundation in New Zealand and reputation as easy-to-work-with providers of reliable product, the time is right for us to elevate our quality brand in this region,” said Robin Doyle, National Sales Manager.

“Carrier Toshiba is positioned to lead that shift by combining global innovation with local understanding,” added General Manager Gary Felstead.
